Sensei Greg Wilson

  • Sensei Gregory Wilson began his Martial Arts education in 1962 by studying Judo.
  • He was promoted to Danzan Ryu Jujitsu Nidan (second degree black belt)by Professor Roy Center in 1993.
  • He is currently a Danzan Ryu Jujitsu Yodan (Fourth degree Black Belt).
  • Sensei Wilson has also studied Aikido.

  • Sensei Bill studied Judo under Sensei Rawlin Blake starting at age twelve.
  • He received his Judo Shodan from Sensei Rawlin Blake in 2004
  • He has also studied Aikido.

  • In 1982 Sensei Mike began his education in the Martial Arts by studying Korean Karate (the original, not TKD), eventually receiving his black belt.
  • In 1990 he started studying Judo and Jujitsu under Sensei Rawlin Blake at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
  • He was promoted to Jujitsu Shodan by Sensei Rawlin Blake in 1995.

Professor Roy Center

  • In 1961 Professor Roy Center began his education in the Martial Arts by studying Judo and Jujitsu at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.
  • In 1962 Professor Center began studying Shorin Ryu Karate under Sensei James Wax.
  • In 1964 he began studying Danzan Ryu Jujitsu in Las Vegas, Nevada under Sensei Carl F. Dudoit at the Las Vegas School of Judo and Jujitsu.
  • In 1969 he became head instructor of the Las Vegas School of Judo and Jujitsu, now renamed Kodenkan of Las Vegas.
  • He received his Danzan Ryu Jujitsu Shodan (first degree black belt) in 1970 from Professor Jack Wheat, Judan.
  • Professor Center received his Shodan in Judo in 1971.
  • He served as the president of Nevada Judo Inc. from 1979 to 1983.
  • He was promoted to Danzan Ryu Jujitsu Rokyudan (sixth degree black belt)in at the Las Vegas Ohana in 1994.
  • He is currently a Danzan Ryu Jujitsu Shichidan (Seventh Degree Black Belt).
  • Professor Center has taught and studied with several of Professor Okazaki's original students including Professor Carl Beaver, Judan (tenth degree black belt).
  • Professor Center has also studied Aikijitsu, Bokendo (Japanese stick fighting), and Kendo (Japanese sword fighting).

  • July 27, 1921 - December 11, 1995
  • Began his life-long study of Danzan Ryu Jujitsu in 1940.
  • Studied Danzan Ryu Jujitsu and massage under Professor Okazaki, the founder of Danzan Ryu Jujitsu. The black and white photo is Sensei Beaver receiving his scroll from Professor Okazaki upon achieving Nidan (Second Degree Black Belt).
  • Received His Judan (Tenth Degree Black Belt) in 1990.
  • He never had a shortage of attendees at his massage classes!

Sensei Gene LeBell

Gene at 160 lbs as the Heavyweight and Overall AAU National Judo champ in either 1954 or 1955. Gene says he was the same weight both years.

Professor Michael Chubb

  • Professor Mike Chubb began jujitsu training in Los Angeles in the 1950's under Professor William Randle.
  • After earning his Black Belt, he assisted Professor Randle at various YMCA's, and eventually began teaching his own classes.
  • In 1974 he began a commercial dojo in Orange County, California.
  • He created in 1987.
  • In 1990 he founded Ohana (family) to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Founder of Danzan Ryu Jujitsu. It was hosted by Shoshin Ryu Yudanshakai, and attended by people from all of the major Jujitsu organizations. Ohanas are held every two years.
  • He was awarded his Hachidan (Eighth degree Black Belt) at the 1994 Ohana in Las Vegas.
  • He currently holds the rank of Kudan (Nineth Degree Black Belt)
